THE DOWNBEAT FOUNDATION
The Downbeat Foundation raises funds to provide drum lessons and instruments to children in the Harrisburg area who could not otherwise afford them. We welcome students in grades 4–12 from all schools, backgrounds, and experience levels — no enrollment in a formal music program is required. All that’s needed is a passion for drumming. Applications are accepted year-round through our website.

May Jam: A Celebration of Music, Community, and Legacy
May Jam isn’t just another benefit concert — it’s the revival of a hometown tradition. In the early 2000s, Ben Smith and Dreading Monday organized the original May Jam, a grassroots music festival that brought the community together to share a love of live performance.
