Meet the Board

Jenna Smith, Ben’s wife of 13 years, lives in Woodbridge, VA with their beloved dog, Annabelle. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking on the Occoquan River, cooking vegan food, listening to various genres of music, working out/running and cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Through two cross country moves with Ben, she has maintained her career as a Rehab Director and Occupational Therapist specializing in the geriatric population.

Austin Ziltz resides in Williamsburg, Virginia, coaching two young sons on and off the baseball field. He is a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer supporting the Hypersonic Test Facilities at NASA Langley, and performs at open mic nights throughout the Hampton Roads area.

Steve Kurtz lives in Linglestown, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children. He is a Principal with Ernst & Young, where he leads business transformation programs. A lifelong music lover and drummer, Steve has remained active in both academic and community music circles, participating in drumming ensembles at the collegiate and post-collegiate levels.

Lisa Smith lives in Harrisburg, PA with her husband Max and their dog Bernie. For many years she was a stay-at-home mom to Jessica, Ben and Brad, later returning to work for the Central Dauphin School District. Her love and compassion for all animals led her to become a volunteer with the Farm Crew at Speranza Animal Rescue.

Max Smith lives with wife Lisa and pet dog Bernie in Lower Paxton Township, PA. He is the father of Jessica, Ben and Brad. Max has practiced law for 45 years and is a founding partner of JSDC Law Offices in Hershey. He enjoys coaching baseball, especially his twin grandsons, Sam and Silas, and closely follows the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Penn State football.

Brad Smith is an attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he lives with his wife Megan and dog Snacks. As a Senior Partner at Galfand Berger, Brad represents people injured by defective products and victims of negligence. Brad shared none of his siblings’ musical talent, but is an avid fan of all live music, especially classic rock and folk.

Chad Bolt lives in Washington DC, where he is Senior Vice President for Economic Security at First Focus on Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to making kids a priority in federal budget and policy decisions. One of his favorite parts of living in DC, in addition to its underappreciated food scene, is its live music — and he always has a show at the 9:30 Club coming up on his calendar. Nelson Butz lives in Hummelstown, PA with his wife and their Yorkie. He is an Account Manager at Enders Insurance, which is the local connection that allowed him to find the foundation. In his other free time he organizes a hiking and camping group, loves travel and food, and runs the sound board for his wife’s band.
